Steve Anderson Center for Advanced Technologies, St. Vincent's Hospital This month's speaker is the Director of the Center for Advanced Technologies at St. Vincent's Hospital. Steve Anderson has 24 years experience in information systems with 21 years in the health care field. In 1989, Steve started with St. Vincent's as a systems analyst, moved into a programmer position, then in 1996 became database coordinator. After two years as Senior Vice President, with Ascension Corporation, Steve returned to St. Vincent's as the data warehousing manager and chair of the Digital Unit Task Force. Since 2003, he has worked with St. Vincent's to evaluate and implement emerging technologies in his role as director of the Center for Advanced Technologies.

Hello AITP members. For those of you who missed it, we had a wonderful time at our meeting last month. I want to thank the vendors and potential sponsors that joined us. I know everyone enjoyed mingling and getting to know each other better. This will be our last meeting for the first half of the year. It is also spouses’ night. I encourage all of you to attend and be part of what we have coming in our Fall session. I’d like to take these last few minutes to specially Thank the members of the board. It’s been a challenge, but it’s always the 20 percent that do 80 percent of the work. To those members who began this organization, please think back to why this chapter was started. Those same ideas are still here today and we need your support and wisdom to keep it going. Thank you for supporting AITP in this year of growth. See you at the meeting. Chapter President
