September Dinner Meeting
Tuesday, September 27, 2005 ~ Jim 'n' Nicks ~ 220 Oxmoor Rd. in Homewood   ~ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Madhu Dandey
The Stewart Organization

     Madhu Dandey is with the Stewart Organization. Mandhu came to Birmingham from New York and has been in IT for the past 10 years. During this time he has done everything from programming in BASIC and COBOL to Java and XML. He says programming is not his forte anymore, he has become more involved with Unix/NT administration and some database management. Mandhu holds a BS degree in Accounting and a graduate degree in Computer Science. He enjoys traveling and trying new cuisines. He will be talking to us about new ideas for mainframe /UNIX printing using our multi-function copiers and other IT functions used at the Stewart Organization.

President's Message

return to top

     The first thoughts I have as I begin this message go to all the victims affected by Hurricane Katrina. I don’t think anyone could have imagined the immense devastation we see today. We have all been affected either by family, friends, co-workers, or other AITP members. Please keep everyone in your prayers and as leaders, keep focused on what we can do now to help, to build and to move forward.
     Our dinner meeting in May was presented by Steve Anderson, Director of the Center for Advanced Technologies at St. Vincent's Hospital. I believe everyone was extremely impressed by the position St. Vincent’s has put themselves in by using and implementing the most updated technology possible. Thank you for making our meeting a great success.
     At this time, all our efforts are focused on making the Student Conference and Region 7 Conference a wonderful event. Southern Hospitality will definitely be expressed in every aspect. The hotel selected, the catering, the amenities were all prepared with great detail. This will definitely be an event talked about for a long time. Attend the dinner meeting this month for more details.
     I would like to welcome two new members, Madhu Dandey, Information Systems Manager of The Stewart Organization and Jill Sharpe. Vice President of Credex Sytems, Inc.
     If you have any thoughts or questions about or chapter, please email at Barbara.shook@regions.com.
     Thank You and I’ll see you at the meeting.
